It is an attempt to provide qualify information, but no claims, promises or guarantees are made about the accuracy, completeness, or adequacy of the information contained in or linked to this web site. As legal advice must be tailored to the specific circumstances of each case, and laws, including the common law, are constantly changing, nothing provided herein should be used as a substitute for the research and advice of competent counsel. 11 USC § 522(b)(3)(B) specifies that the protection to be given tenancy by the entireties and other jointly-held property in bankruptcy is determined by “applicable nonbankruptcy law.” Therefore, the rules upon which this website is based do not apply. Do not attempt to use this website to determine what applicable nonbankruptcy law is for that purpose. There are conflicting judicial views on how "applicable nonbankruptcy law" is determined.
